It is finally Halloween again!! What a fun time of year. I love dressing up especially because I get to experiment with new and unique makeup looks. Here are two of my "creations" from past Halloweens!
Look #1: Cute Lil' Cat
Last year I was so busy I didn't really get the time to go buy a costume for a pumpkin carving event the day before Halloween. I decided to do what every girl has probably done in her life: goes as a cat. Funny story though- It would've been wise to do my makeup once I got to my destination, but instead I did my makeup in my apartment and then had to walk down 10th street (where a ton of people pass by) and then through campus to get to where I was going. Needless to say, I got a lot of weird looks since I had all this makeup on my face.. and it wasn't even Halloween yet.
In terms of makeup, I wanted to go for an interesting eyeliner design since it's not something I get to wear on a everyday basis. This look was only possible with the Kat Von D Tattoo Eyeliner because once it sets, it sets. (See my review here). It is what I also used to draw the rest of the black marks on my face. The eyeshadow combo was from the Urban Decay Naked2 Palette and the pink color I used on my nose and lips was actually NYX's Stick Blush in Pink Lotus. Overall, I loved the way this look turned out!
Look #2: Zombie in Apt 207
This look was a result of me seeing if I could create a zombie look- and I would say I did pretty well! (I know my neck doesn't match but that's because I did this look at night for fun and washed it off right after.)
First thing I did here was to take a concealer in a much lighter tone than my skin & dab it with a sponge all over my face. I chose to use the Physicians Formula Strength Concealer. This created a uneven texture that could be seen as extra skin on the face. Next I took a matte black eyeshadow (from Urban Decay's Naked2 Palette) & basically smeared it in a messy circle around each eye- zombies need to look tired right? Lastly, I used an Estee Lauder dark red lip gloss as fake blood & created three large streaks on my face. As a finishing touch, the black teeth made this look extra scary.
