HALLOWEEN Costume and Makeup!

Ahoy everyone!

I hope you had a fantastic Halloween this past weekend! In my opinion, it is one of the most fun holidays because there are so many events going on. I personally had a great time dressing up with my friends in the city. If it isn't obvious in the picture, I went out as a sailor!

Here are the details about my outfit:
- Hat: Party City
- Dress: Actually was from a dance recital back in 8th grade (not joking)
- Tights: Publix- It was an impulse decision haha
- Heels: Kelly&Katie heels from Designer Shoe Warehouse!

I created a collage of all the makeup products I used to complete my look! They are listed below.

My Top 3 Eye Primer Recommendations!

Hi everyone!
My favorite place on a face to apply makeup is the eyes! With all the work we put into our eye makeup we want everything to stay right? That is why everyone needs to be using an eye primer under their shadows! After applying an eye primer, my makeup lasts longer whether I'm going through a day of work, class, or going out! Primer's also bring out the color of your eyeshadows and keep them from creasing. Here are my top three recommendations of eye shadow bases! (Click the name of each to go to their website!)

3. Urban Decay's Primer Potion in "Sin"- $20

The reason I like this primer is because it is a base that also has some color to it. Sin is a light pink neutral color that is perfect for layering other shades on top of! The color looks just like the color of the tube. I have also worn it just by itself as a cream eyeshadow before too!

This may sound strange but I think this primer is especially good for people with dry eyelids because the formula is creamy in a way that its almost a little oily- but a good kind of oily! After you apply it, it dries, and your eyeshadow stays on for hours!

The UD Primer Potion also comes in a variety of colors. (If you prefer a clear base, the purple tube is the one for you!)

MAC, Forever21, and Sephora Haul!

I would say that it was a very successful trip to the mall today. I mainly was going to look for some new clothes but being the beauty blogger that I am, had to stop in some makeup stores as well. ;)

8 Beauty Essentials for College!!

Here are some things that I think are going to be essential to have in college!! Good luck to everyone and I hope you have a great year!

1) Makeup wipes!
These are going to be so convenient for late nights when you're ready to just go to sleep! It is so much easier to wipe off your makeup then taking time to wash it off.
Product Suggestion-
Left: Yes To Cucumbers Hypoallergenic Facial Towelettes- $6- These are awesome because they don't leave a oily residue on your face! The ingredients are 98% natural/ organic, too! You get 30 sheets in one pack and they smell really good!
Right: MAC Wipes (30 wipes)- $15- So this is clearly a high end option. I will say though that these do leave a little bit of an oily residue on your face. I wouldn't use this during the day to fix smudged makeup. This is best before going to sleep. I heard some people say that it also makes your skin a little better (like reducing pores).

MAC's Travel Sized Products- Can't go Back2MAC

Hey hey hey!
So I just got off the phone with MAC's customer service because I called to ask if the new Sized-To-Go products were able to go Back2MAC. Unfortunately they are not able to go Back2MAC. If you don't know what that program is, basically if you turn back 6 empty MAC containers or makeup wipe bags, then you get a free lipstick and at some stores a free eyeshadow.

Here is the link to see what products can go Back2MAC.
http://www.maccosmetics.com/giving_back/btm_return_packaging.tmpl

Here are some helpful things that I learned today about Back2MAC.
1. They accept eyelash cases if you have outside and inside plastic parts.
2. Makeup wipes are also able to go Back2MAC.
3. Holiday collection mini items cannot go Back2MAC.

I think this program is a great way to build up on your collection and recycle at the same time!

Lasting Power Test: E.L.F. Essentials Eyelid Primer VS. MAC Paint Pot

Okay so I decided to test which eyelid primer lasted the longest! The e.l.f. Eyelid Primer only costs $1 whereas the MAC Paint Pot costs $16.50. Big price difference. They both definitely make your eyeshadow last longer. I put swatches of both on my hand, put some pink eyeshadow over the top, and went through my day with it on. I washed my hands, ate, etc. Here are the results:

Trip to M.A.C.!!

Alright so I finally got to go to the MAC counter! Here are the two things that I got! I am literally obsessed with them! I kept putting the products on, taking them off, and then putting them on again! lol Like literally my eyes got so irritated that they started to swell a little. haha

I got the Bare Study Paint Pot for $16.50 &Honey Lust Eyeshadow (Lustre) for $14.50. It is really hard for me to describe Honey Lust because it seems like it's a million neutral colors put together! My picture below doesn't do the eyeshadow much justice because my picture makes it look like a plain beige color. But actually in the pot, it looks like a mix of amber, gold, & beige. However, on the eye, I would say it comes off as a neutral color with a tint of amber. Bare Study is the perfect base for any color. It is a champagne-y, pink color that has some tints of white. One thing I would say about these products though is that the eyeshadows are a lot smaller than I imagined! Nonetheless, I still love my purchase. :)

HELP: Planning a MAC purchase!

So I have saved the money that I worked for this month and I am planning to make a MAC purchase this week! Here are a few items that I am thinking about buying. As of right now though, I am not looking for a foundation, powder, concealer, dark brown eyeshadow, or nail polish so keep that in mind! Let me know if you recommend something else or have tried one of the products I mention! Also keep in mind that I have really tan skin so I will need products that will show up so for example, a light colored blush will not work on me at all. (For a reference, I am the shade Toast 370 for Revlon Colorstay Foundation.) I need to hear opinions and suggestions right now! lol I will definitely do a haul post once I get all the stuff! :)

I am going to include some questions by each product. Please answer them if you can! That would be great help!

Fix +
$19
Does this make your face look oily? Would this be make me look greasy since I already have oily skin? Also, does it work with setting your makeup?

As you all probably know, a while ago Almay came out with the Intense i-color Powder Shadows which are eyeshadow trios customized for your specific eye color. Bronze Makeup Look Inspired By Ashley Benson and Review on Pretty Little Liars!!

Alright so lately I have been hooked on the show Pretty Little Liars. It is sooo suspenseful but not too scary (because I am the biggest wuss when it comes to scary movies lol). It is about 4 girls who were best friends with a girl who went missing and now they are trying to find out who murdered her. It is such a good show and I have no idea how it is going to end! All the girls are also extremely pretty and have such great clothes on the show!

One of the girls in particular, Ashley Benson who plays Hannah, always seems to stun me with her gorgeous makeup and outfits! I'm always wondering what she is going to wear next! I wanted to show you all this bronzy/ golden makeup look that was inspired by Ashley Benson!
