Trendy Makeup Bags!!

Recently, I have seen a few makeup travel bag videos on Youtube so I thought I would do a post about where you could get a cute one! The ones I chose are all relatively inexpensive and none of them cost more than $10! I am always traveling a lot and having a big-sized, durable makeup bag is a necessity! I hope you enjoy this post and find a makeup bag that works for you!

The first three bags I want to show you all are from Forever 21! The first two only cost $5.80 and the third bag is $7.80. The third one also folds out and has two big pockets perfect for holding every kind of makeup!

Here are two more expandable makeup bags that fold open with pockets! The first one is also from Forever 21 and only costs $7.80! The second one is from Charlotte Russe and is more for the purpose of holding brushes and manicure tools. It costs $10.50.

To switch it up a bit, here are three bags from Aeropostale that each cost $9.99!

Next, are four sequin bags of the same design from Forever 21 which cost $6.80 each. Sorry if you are sick of me choosing stuff from Forever 21 by this point. lol There is just so much cute stuff there! This bag also comes in black but is not pictured below.

Alright so these four are also from Forever 21. The first one is $4.80 and the second one costs $5.80 and has adorable sequins on the lettering! The third makeup bag only has sequins on the sides of the cheetah print but costs $4.80! The fourth bag is for the price of $5.80.

Let me know which one is your favorite! :) They are the cutest ones I could find!

My Talent Show Performance!

video
Hi everyone! So tonight is my school's talent show and I will unfortunately be unable to go since I will be out of town. Since I can't perform for my classmates, I thought I would share part of my last years performance with you all! :) I'm glad that I will at least have one audience to watch me perform this year (you all!). So I hope you enjoy the video! This was recorded by my friend and the microphone is a little off.
This song is called the Fantasie Impromptu by Chopin.

I Love Her Style: Dianna Agron

Dianna Agron is one of my favorite celebrities after watching her performances on the hit show Glee. If you haven't seen the show yet then you can check out my review of it by clicking here. You may also recognize her from advertisements for the Wal-Mart brand OP. Basically, I have always admired her outfits and the way she incorporates items from different eras into them. I would describe her style as very classy but a bit old-fashioned. I also love how she does her makeup because for the most part is fairly simple but at the same time very stunning. She also seems like someone who is very confident and comfortable in her skin. Here are some of my favorite pictures of Dianna which will hopefully inspire you too!
(I do not own any of these photos.)

REVIEW: ALMAY Pure Blends Foundation and Clean & Clear In-Shower Facial

ALMAY Pure Blends Foundation- So while the CVS clearance sales were going on, I ran into this product and completely bought it on a whim! I was scanning through the whole store and there were two of these foundations left and they were both in my color!! (My color for these is Sand.) I was super lucky! They were each $2.62 due to the sale so I decided to get both! :) (They retail for $10.50 each.) I had never heard of this product nor I had ever tried any ALMAY products before. This foundation has SPF 20 and is made from 97.4% natural ingredients! Oddly enough, the company does not specify whether or not this is a liquid foundation or tinted moisturizer. I however would classify it as a tinted moisturizer.. It was quite oily feeling to be honest. I was not too fond of this because I do have oily skin; however, I was able to get rid of the overly glowy finish by covering it with powder. This also easily comes off your face if you accidentally wipe your shirt against your face or something so I could not imagine wearing this in the summer like other tinted moisturizers because with the sweat and everything this would be a mess. I would say this product is perfect for people with dry skin and relatively clear skin because there was minimal coverage with this. The product when applied though does not look cakey at all and really melts into your skin which is gorgeous. There is also a floral scent to this foundation that I don't really like.. but then again it doesn't really bother me that much. This is also hypoallergenic meaning that it will probably not cause you to break out which is always a plus. :) Overall, I think this product is okay but I would probably not repurchase this especially because in my opinion it is not worth over $10.
Clean & Clear Morning Burst In-Shower Facial- I finally finished a full bottle of this so I thought it would be appropriate to do a full review on it. Basically this is a face wash you are supposed to leave on your face for 1-3 minutes while you are in the shower because the steam from the water is supposed to work with the product. The smell of this is very citrusy and has scents of orange in it which I loved. However, I did not find that this product made my skin clearer or smoother at all. It is an exfoliant too but the beads in it are super small. The only good thing about this was that my face did feel cooler and refreshed once I stepped out of the shower. Juicystar07 from Youtube mentioned that this product brings up your acne to wear it is close enough to the surface to pop. That was totally not true for me with this product; it didn't do anything regarding that aspect. This is only good for the purpose of wanting to feel more awake in the morning.. otherwise there really is no point in getting this. Oh also, I feel like this product is a ripoff because there is so little product in the tube. Like literally, I think 20% of the bottle is filled with air. I probably got 10 uses out of this before it ran out. It cost $6.99 or something close to that but I will not be repurchasing this either because it just didn't do enough for me.

Let me know if you have tried either product and whether or not it worked for you!

Em

Bronze Makeup Look Inspired By Ashley Benson and Review on Pretty Little Liars!!

Alright so lately I have been hooked on the show Pretty Little Liars. It is sooo suspenseful but not too scary (because I am the biggest wuss when it comes to scary movies lol). It is about 4 girls who were best friends with a girl who went missing and now they are trying to find out who murdered her. It is such a good show and I have no idea how it is going to end! All the girls are also extremely pretty and have such great clothes on the show!

One of the girls in particular, Ashley Benson who plays Hannah, always seems to stun me with her gorgeous makeup and outfits! I'm always wondering what she is going to wear next! I wanted to show you all this bronzy/ golden makeup look that was inspired by Ashley Benson!

Guy Q&A: What is the #1 mistake girls make with clothes or makeup that drives you crazy? MUST READ

Okay so I thought that it would be very helpful to everyone if I asked my guy friends what is the thing they really hate that girls do with makeup or fashion. Now I understand some of you may read this and say "Well what do they know? They aren't interested in makeup or any of that stuff." Yea sure this is true but don't you wonder sometimes what guys think about your look? Here is a post that will hopefully help everyone understand what bothers or annoys the males in our life. (Just as a heads up, please keep an open mind when reading this.)

#1) Too much makeup. The absolute number one response that I received was that guys hate when girls put on too much makeup. I asked 17 guys and 10 of them said they don't think a lot of makeup is attractive at all. One guy said too much makeup hides natural beauty and guys like subtle makeup. Another guy justified his answer by saying that girls tend to become dependent on makeup. He said: "I have no problem with a tad bit of eyeliner or blush or lipstick to highlight some stuff, but there should never be a hugely dramatic difference between no makeup and makeup. It gets distracting when there is an overload of makeup." Another person said: "Don't put on so much makeup that I can't see your face. Too much makeup indicates low self esteem and girls always appear more beautiful when they can be confident and embrace themselves."

      Here were some other answers:
  • Too much lipstick or putting on any red lipstick (One guy described it as being terrible.)
  • Too much eyeshadow- especially purple eyeshadow. One guy said he really doesn't like it when girls put on colored makeup because it doesn't look natural.
  • Too much blush
  • "Fake tans are disgusting."
  • Dressing up too much
  • "They always think they can wear better clothes or better makeup. They're fine the way they are."
  • Girls that wear clothing that is extremely uncomfortable for the sake of style.
  • Sagging their pants
  • Looking emo (lol)
  • Wearing the same hoodie everyday
  • Girls shouldn't try and cover up flaws but rather enhance their best features.
  • Short skirts aren't attractive. "Showing everything like your butt crack when your skirt is too short is gross."
  • Looking "easy"
  • Buying new dresses for every single event because girls wear them once and never wear them again.
  • "I hate and love really tight sweat pants..." (I think he is talking about yoga pants). "...I hate you for making me want to look but I love you for how it looks."
  • Clothes when it doesn't make sense.
  • "I absolutely hate cake face makeup on girls, but who doesn't. I also get really cringey when I get close to a girl and you can see powder build up on her cheeks."
  • When a girl throws on lots of fake 'bling' for no reason.
  • "If you feel comfortable and relaxed in your clothes then we will too. Sometimes a well fitted pair of jeans is most attractive."
Okay girls so here is what I think everyone should take away from this. Yes the truth can hurt but some things should probably be changed if you are loading tons of makeup on and want guys attention. Sure it is okay to branch out every now and then but consistently doing it is a little much. Basically I have learned that natural looking makeup is the way to go. Here are some pictures that will hopefully inspire you to try it out.

Store of the Day: American Eagle!

Ok so I haven't done one of these in a while but basically I pick one of my favorite stores and design an outfit using clothes from their website! These are just posts to hopefully inspire you to make your own outfits with these similar styles. My store today is American Eagle. This store is very beachy and trendy. It is a little pricier than what I would usually go for but I love the clothes nonetheless! The look I created is cozy but edgy. I would not button up the sweater if I was wearing this so that I could show off the print of the tank top. The boots definitely add a lot to this outfit and without them this look would be pretty soft. I think this outfit would go best with a loose, messy/ wavy ponytail. This would be perfect for a day around town with your friends! Leave me a comment of what you think! If you have a store you would like me to do an outfit from let me know! :)

Here is the website to American Eagle! www.ae.com

Aerie Sand Wash Slub Knit Cardigan in Sunset Grey- $29.95
AE Floral Babydoll Cami in Pink- $34.50
Skinny Jeans in Bright Indigo- $49.50
AEO Lace-Up Moto Boots in Black- $69.50
AEO Pocket Cross-Body Bag in Taupe- $24.50
    AE Jet Twist Necklace- $14.95

    **2 items are from Wetseal:

6 Winter Health Tips and Product Suggestions!!!!

    1.  Exfoliate and Moisturize your skin!
With the winter wind blowing and all, your face is going to get pretty dry and your skin will start flaking. It is important to remove the flaky skin with an exfoliant and restore the surface of your face with a good moisturizer! A good exfoliant is the St. Ive's Apricot Scrub!

    2. Use a lip scrub!
Your skin isn't the only place that is going to get flaky; use a lip scrub to get rid of the dead skin on your lips! A highly recommended product is the LUSH Bubblegum Lip Scrub!

    3. Don't shave as often!
Sounds gross maybe but first off, no one can even tell if you have hair on your legs or not because you are not going to be wearing shorts when its 30 degrees outside! Shaving thickens the hair on your legs, making it even stronger, darker, and more dense. If you truly need to get rid of the hair, then use a hair removing lotion such as Nair because they dissolve the hair underneath the skin for a smooth finish that  can last up to 4 weeks!

    4. Moisturize your hair!
Your hair is another thing that is going to get pretty dried out in the winter. It would be best to use a hair mask one a week. Good products to try would be the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Deeeeeeep Conditioner and the Neutrogena Triple Moisture Deep Recovery Hair Mask.

    5. Give your toe nails a break!
Since you will probably be wearing boots or closed toed shoes for most of winter, this is the perfect time to not paint your toe nails. I say this because when you paint your nails, it is like putting a coat of toxins on them. The ingredients that make up nail polishes are toxic to the nerves and endocrine system and spread throughout the air.

    6. Take a bubble bath!
What better way to get warm in the winter than taking a bubble bath! They are good for destressing after a long week and relaxing!

I hope this post was helpful! Happy winter!

Belk, TJ Maxx, and Ross Haul! Nail of the Week, and The Body Shop insider!!

Alrighty so for Christmas I was given a gift card to Belk so I decided to go out and spend it! :) Here are two items I got there! The shirt was $9.99 and the dress was only $4.99! What a great price!! I am in lack of plaid shirts so when I saw this one I had to get it! The frills on the front are also adorable! The dress is perfect for spring and summer time so I am super excited to wear it! I also thought that the criss cross in the back was unique! I seriously needed a floral piece! lol

Okay next was my trip to TJ Maxx and Ross. These stores are amazing and sell all sorts of things from accessories, to clothes, to work out stuff. They carry items from famous designers and the prices are phenomenal! I got two purses from TJ Maxx which were each $20. I have been looking for such a long time for an everyday over-the-shoulder bag and I think these two are perfect! The first one is from the designer Kathy Van Zeeland and I am in love with her bags! My mom got one from her brand too and it is gorgeous and durable! It is the third bag posted below. Lastly, I got a set of 5 nail polishes from Maybelline! These were the Express Finish Nail Polishes which claim to dry in 50 seconds. I didn't time it or anything but I did notice these dry pretty quickly! I bought these since I had been looking for a pale pink and mint green color! These are limited edition and only cost $4.99!!! Again, I am in loveeeeee with TJ Maxx and Ross!

    My Mom's Bag!
Here is my nail of the week! I tried the green one and loved it! I'm happy I finally found this color nail polish because many of you may remember my "Trend I Want to Try" post which is linked here!

Another thing I wanted to mention was that if you like The Body Shop products then you should head to your local TJ Maxx because I saw they were selling The Body Shop Body Scrubs for $7.99! These retail for $20.00! I wanted to let y'all know because I noticed that a lot of my followers do posts about The Body Shop! Here are two of the body scrubs I saw at my local TJ Maxx! I would've bought them but I am more interested in a Body Butter! lol

As always, I would love to hear any comments you have on this post! If you would like a review on any of the nail polishes or anything I would be happy to do that too! I love you all! <3

    Review: MAC Patina Pigment!!

Hi everyone! So I wanted to review the gorgeous MAC Patina Pigment that I got for Christmas! This pigment retails for $19.50 and holds .15 oz of product. It is a very shimmery pigment and I would describe it as a metallic, brownish chrome color. I applied this eyeshadow without a base and it turned out extremely well! In the pictures, I also used the Lancome 3-D Liquid Eyeliner, Lancome Le Stylo Long Lasting Eyeliner, and Maybelline Define-A-Lash Mascara. All the photos below were taken with flash except the first one.

I really love this entourage and I think that I might use it as my everyday neutral look!

Let me know what you think of this eye look and let me know if there is anything you would like me to review!!!

Fabulous Friends Panel: Favorite Bath & Body Works Scent and Item!

Yes it is time for another questionnaire with my fabulous friends panel :) This time I decided to ask my friends what their favorite item from Bath & Body Works was! As you all probably know by now, I am completely obsessed and cannot get enough of this store. Here are some scents or items that you may like to try! They are still having their huge sale so this may be a good time for you to try new stuff! Please please let me know what your favorite scent or item from Bath & Body Works is because I would love to try them out!!!! (P.S. I believe this store is only available to people in the US and Canada.) Here is their website! www.bathandbodyworks.com

#1) Now the number one most mentioned scent from Bath & Body Works was SWEET PEA. It is one of the unique smells from B&BW and has notes of Sweet Pea Petals, Watery Pear, Freesia, Fresh Raspberry, and Soft Musk.
#2) There was a tie for the second place and one of the scents was DARK KISS! I myself also love this scent! :) This has notes of sensual incense, Mirabelle plum, and night musk. My friend also said that she loves it in the body lotion form!
#2) The other scent that tied for second place was of course the ever so famous WARM VANILLA SUGAR. I am a huge fan of this; I spray it on my pillow every night before I go to bed :) This is known by its traces of Vanilla Absolute, Basmati Rice Water, and Creamy Sandalwood.
    Honorable Mentions:

(Above from Left to Right)- Japanese Cherry Blossom, Exotic Coconut, Cherry Blossom, and Twisted Peppermint.

    BRIDALPLASTY?? What the heck?!!?!

Ok so yesterday I was cleaning my room and decided to turn on the TV. I put it on the E! (Entertainment) Channel and this show called Bridalplasty was on. Basically it is a show where like 10 to-be brides live in a house together and go through challenges. Whoever wins the challenges gets to have their choice of PLASTIC SURGERY. I mean there were girls with bandages on their noses from getting nose jobs, there were people with bandages on their arms and slings on their heads.. SERIOUSLY? The whole time I was thinking "WHAT KIND OF MESSAGE ARE THEY TRYING TO SEND TO THEIR VIEWERS?!?!" Are they trying to say that you have to have plastic surgery to be beautiful and confident???

OH BUT THE WORST PART WAS THIS: When people got booted off the show, the host would say to the girl "Now you are still going to have your wedding, it just won't be perfect." Wow. Wowwwwww.

Everything about this show was so wrong. You don't need to change the way you look to be beautiful for goodness sake! They are sending out a terrible message to their viewers. I mean seriously? Think about what younger teenage girls are going to think from watching this show. Magazines such as Seventeen have been constantly working to get the message across that everyone should be comfortable in their own skin but this show is just totally the opposite of that.

AND WHAT ABOUT THEIR TO-BE HUSBANDS? Think about it, if their finance already proposed to them because he loves the way they look and act, is he really going to want someone who looks totally different to marry?? If he already loves you for the way you look then why are you trying to change yourself?? Because news flash, when you get a nose job you are going to look different! Gosh, this show makes no sense to me.

Whew! Okay I am done venting haha. Basically, be comfortable with who you are. You don't need to changes things about yourself to be beautiful.

REQUEST: Revlon Pink Afterglow Lipgloss and Wet N' Wild Pink Ice Lipstick Review!

Alrighty so it was asked that I do a review on the Revlon Pink Afterglow Lipgloss. Since I was already taking some photos, I figured that I would review the Wet N' Wild lipstick that I got for you all too. I absolutely love both of these products and wore them on my lips last Friday!

Here are pictures of my lips without any product on them:
So, my first impression of the Revlon Pink Afterglow Lipgloss was that it is super glittery. I don't have a huge problem with this but I know many people do. The lipgloss itself is pretty sheer but gives a nice gloss to the lips. There isn't much of a taste or a strong makeup smell to the product. Overall, I think this lipgloss is so pretty and nice to put over any lipstick or on bare lips.

The Wet N' Wild lipstick is a pretty bright pink color. It applies very smoothly and does not have a heavy makeup smell or anything. It is a mix of a frosty and pearly finish. I liked this one a lot and it only cost $0.99! All of the pictures below have flash.
And here is the combo of the lipstick and lip gloss. Overall, I was really happy with both of these products!
Let me know what you think of these products/look and let me know what else you would like me to review!!!!
