Ke$ha Inspired New Year's Look

By now I think most of you will recognize who this is a picture of. Yep you guessed it: Ke$ha. My Spanish teacher says that anyone who uses a dollar sign in their name should not be famous lol. But I on the other hand disagree because I am personally a big fan of her music. She is known mainly for her rebellious lyrics and glitter overload. I find her style to be extremely bold and therefore created two Ke$ha inspired New Year's party looks. Let me know what you think and tell me what you're wearing for New Year's!

REQUEST: How Boys Can Dress to Look Nice

Alrighty so my best friend, David, requested that I make a post about how guys should dress to look nice because he claimed that most of the time they are clueless about it haha I thought it would be a great idea to make a post about my opinions on what every boy needs in his closet!
 Now I'm not saying that boys shouldn't have their own individual style and all, just that I think certain pieces look good on every boy. This post could be useful to you if you have a boyfriend whose style is a little bland. You could help him put together a few good outfits since you will probably be spending a lot of time with him over the holiday break :) Let me know what you think every guy needs in his closet!

Okay to begin, I think every guy needs colorful plaid shirts! I love the way they look on guys because the pattern is so eye-catching & interesting. The photo to the right is of Taylor Lautner (I watched New Moon today hahaha)The ones with a white background below are from American Eagle; The ones with a brown background are from Hollister. I believe that they are all under $30! (Click photo to enlarge.)

Alright so the next thing is worn in the picture above on the right by Chris Pine from Star Trek and it is an oxford shirt. Yea I know these are typically dress shirts but with jeans or khaki's they look super nice and casual. I personally love when guys where oxford shirts lol. They would be good to wear for a date! In the pictures below, the half shirt pictures are from Polo, the white background photos are from American Eagle, and the brown background photos are from Hollister and Co. Click photo to enlarge.

Now something else that goes nicely with an oxford shirt is a sweater or avest. I absolutely love when guys wear sweater vests.. I'm not sure why but I just think it looks really well put together. Shown in the pictures below :)

For shoes, I think every guy should own a pair of Sperry's. They look very casual but are more dressy then just regular tennis shoes.











Ok last thing on my list is the Polo Ralph Lauren Blue Eau De Toilette Natural Spray. Both of my brothers just got this for Christmas. This honestly smells so good that I would like run up to a stranger and hug him if he was wearing it haha. I think this is the best smelling cologne boys could wear.

Cold Weather Necessity: Earmuffs!!

So before school got out for winter break, my friend walked in to English class wearing fuzzy white earmuffs. I'm not sure where she got them but they were made of real rabbit fur and were sooo soft. I was already planning this earmuffs post in my head that week so I asked her if I could take a picture of her lol So there you go, my adorable friend Anne Lanier to the left.

Earmuffs are the perfect way to add color or a pattern to your outfit while keeping yourself warm! In my opinion, it can start getting painful if my ears are cold for a long time.. Earmuffs come in all sorts of shapes, patterns, and materials so you can definitely find your perfect one! Check out the ones below :)

Fur earmuffs have become very popular recently. To mix it up, you can buy them in all different prints such as zebra or cheetah print. Fur earmuffs seem really unique to me and I think they make people seem bold. For example, the look in the picture to the right would be a nice look to pull off. Whether you buy fur earmuffs with faux fur or real fur is up to you. However, real fur earmuffs can be super expensive, but then again it depends where you buy them from. But they will always be more expensive than faux fur ones.

Exam Week Survival Guide

Yes, exams are here again.. What a jolly time of year.. not really. I just had two exams today (Spanish 5 and AP Calculus) and it was quite stressful and tiring to say at the least. To help all of you out there with exams, I thought this post would be helpful. I'm not going to mention the usual stuff like pencils and calculators but instead I'm just going to mention things that will make your week more enjoyable and pleasant :) The picture on the right is how I organized piles of paper for studying this past weekend haha. Firstly, it is important to feel comfortable when you're working extremely hard and have to sit in hard chairs for an entire day. Therefore, sweats are essential for exam week. I go to a private school so we are not allowed to wear t-shirts and sweats during the year but we are allowed to dress down for exam week. When you go this week without makeup, then you will at least feel cute if your sweats if you wear ones like the ones below:

Fuzzy socks are so comfortable for exam week! I wore a pair today I love them so much!
