Another Rainy Day

It is another rainy day where I live so I thought I would just show you my outfit that I picked out today :) I know I know, bright colors are not really supposed to be worn in the fall but it was just for one day so oh well. Let me know what you think :)

Cheer Up On Rainy Days!

I absolutely love rainy days because it is a day to change up my look. Sure other girls are wearing hoodies and sneakers because they "don't care" what they look like on gloomy days. But all you need is a pop of color in your outfit to stand out from the overcasted day. I have recently fallen in love with the variety of rain boots and how much color and detail they add to an outfit! Here is how I would put together an outfit for a rainy day! (Click to enlarge.)

Buying plaid rain boots are definitely a cute trend because it brings a lot of different colors to an outfit. The pink scarf in this outfit will really bring a pop of color to the rather simple dress and of course to the gray day! The flower headband will also add to this outfit by making it very cute and girly. If you can't come up with an outfit for a rainy day, you could always try matching an outfit to your rain boots :) Or... you could try matching your umbrella since you will be using it a lot on a rainy day! Trend to Try: Chunky Jewelry!

Yes sir'ee chunk jewelry is a new trend for this year :) The jewelry in this picture are pieces that I bought from JcPenney. I am in love with them and I get compliments on them all the time. Review of Maybelline

 For the drugstore, I really like the makeup brand Maybelline. I feel like most of their products that I have tried are worth the money and good quality. Here are some reviews of their products that I have tried. Please comment on any Maybelline products you think I should try!

I love this mascara! It is called the Define-A-Lash Lengthening Mascara. It is a lengthening formula and is one of the best that I have tried! The wand is very flexible so application is easy. The waterproof formula stays on for the entire day and does not flake. It cost about $8.

The Colossal Mascara is focused on volumizing. I think it works pretty well and is awesome for the fact that it does not clump at all. The brush is pretty big so it takes a little of getting used to. For full lashes, I like pairing it with the Define-A-Lash Lengthening Mascara. Colossal Mascara costs about $6.

This is the Maybelline Eye Studio Quad in Give Me Gold. I initially bought this because I wanted an eyeshadow palette that I could bring with me as I traveled. I love these eyeshadows because they are so smooth and very shimmery. This one cost about $10.

Okay this blush is not one that I would repurchase unfortunately. I bought it in the color Peach Satin think it would be really nice for people with fairer skin but I am very tan so this product does not work for me. The color washes me out a bit but I do like the fact that there is a lot of glitter in this blush. It cost $6.00.

This Dream Mousse Concealer is truly unique because of its texture. It makes your skin feel so flawless and smooth. This concealer didn't do much for me under my eyes but over blemishes, it did a good job of covering them up. The product is going to last me a long time as I have had it for over two months and haven't even gone through 1/4 of it. It cost $7.00.

REVIEW: Estee Lauder Pleasures Delight

This perfume was my everyday perfume for a good year. My mom gave it to me because she thought it smelt a bit like cologne but I really love it. Estee Lauder describes this perfume as having notes of juicy Pomegranate, whipped Strawberry Meringue and tempting Caramel with a sprinkling of Sugared Rose Petals, dewy Freesia, White Peony and Fresh Greens.

Georgetown Cupcakes

The weird thing is that I am not even that big of a cupcake fan but I am in love with this place! If you have ever seen the show DC Cupcakes on TLC, then you will have heard of this shop. I actually got to go to it this past summer and the cupcakes were phenomenal! I was freaking out the whole time and basically running to the shop with my friends. When I got inside I was completely overwhelmed with the displays of cupcakes and the possible choices! When I was eating my cupcake, the frosting was so creamy it literally felt like a cloud to my tongue. The flavors are incredibly rich and the cupcake itself is so amazing I probably could've eaten 20 of them on the spot. I tried the vanilla, chocolate, and red velvet cupcake. If I do not end up going to college in Baltimore, I will probably have to have these cupcakes shipped to whatever college I end up attending lol. Yes they are that good. SMORES

Yummmm. The other day I came home from school and saw that my mom had bought a huge box of graham crackers and the first thing that popped into my mind was smores!! This snack always makes me think of winter :) Nothing ends a long day better than a smore.

Fabulous Fact: S'more is word that emerged from a contraction of the phrase, "some more". Although it is not exactly known who first thought of this combination of snacks, it was first made a tradition by Girl Scouts. August 10th is known as National S'mores Day.

Dupe for Viva La Juicy by Juicy Couture!

I personally haven't been able to go out to buy the Viva La Juicy Perfume by Juicy Couture yet but I have smelt several samples of it from magazines. Well a few months ago, I was walking through Publix and was going through the deodorant aisle and decided to try a few of the testers. I picked up the Degree Natureffects Orange Flower and Cranberry Body Mist and thought it smelt nice. Well I didn't end up buying it at that moment but after I left the store and was studying before a football game, the scent really set in and it reminded me of the Juicy Couture perfume! Since I really liked it, I decided to head back to Publix to buy it! It smells very fruity but is quite a strong body mist so I suggest only spraying one spritz. It was only around $4.00 so this was also a great buy!

REVIEW: Britney Spears Fantasy Perfume

I would definitely recommend getting this perfume! It smells so sweet and sugary! I can smell traces of cotton candy and vanilla in this perfume. I was sitting in an assembly one day and the guy sitting next to me told me that I smelled sweet! The 1.7 oz bottle is typically $34.99 however, if you just want to try the perfume, then you can get the .15 oz tester for $9.99!

Fabulous Fact: The Fantasy bottle is famous for featuring real Swarovski crystals embedded into the glass and the plastic collar. In 2008, the collar began being produced without the Swarovski Crystals, and now all of the Fantasy perfumes have switched to a plastic molded collar with no crystals. A reason for the exclusion of the crystals was because the glue of the crystal top would melt in higher temperatures. Many buyers found that after a certain amount of time, the crystal top was able to move and the glue would become very messy.

REVIEW: Profusion Makeup Palette!

Wow this palette is amazinggg. I got this from Ross which is a store that sells designer products at lower prices (absolutely my favorite store in the entire world!!!) This palette was only.. prepare yourself.. $5.99! and well worth the money; I use it every single day. The eyeshadows are super pigmented and go only very smoothly. They have shimmer in them but also give a pearl effect. The blushes are absolutely amazing and blend really easily. The powders that are provided also do not get cakey at all. This palette was such a great buy and has a pink and black zebra print cover which is made of velvet fabric. I definitely recommend getting this!

Glee!!!

Glee is by far one of my favorite shows! Every week I anticipate what will happen next and can't wait to sit down on my couch every Tuesday night. I am currently listening to Glee songs as I write this post haha. As of right now, my favorite songs from the show are Forget You (ahh so good! I've listened to it three times on repeat :) lol), Teenage Dream, One of Us, Start Me Up, and Time Warp. I can not get enough of Sue's character. OMG Jane Lynch is absolutely amazing! I don't think I could shoot a scene with her without bursting out laughing. I think a reason I love this show so much is because I always want to know what songs they are going to cover next and purely because the lines are just so cleverly written. Watch Glee!! It will make you laugh, cry, and want to dance!
